How we handle account, lesson, and payment-related information.
Optional learning memory
Learning memory is off by default. If enabled in My Account → Personalization, selected learning-profile details and your own notes are saved privately for your practice brief. Profile changes update the saved summary while enabled. Chats, files, connected apps and recordings are not automatically imported. Turning memory off stops its use in the practice brief but keeps saved information; Clear memory removes the saved summary and notes and disables the feature. Your original profile and transaction records are separate. Account deletion removes learning memory as well.
Account profiles and closure (updated October 7, 2026)
Optional profile details include a photo, background, interests, English goals and learning preferences. They are private and can be edited or removed in My Account. Account & settings provides account deletion. Resolve remaining credits, bookings and pending payments with support first. Closure removes the personal profile, settings and lesson notes and disables sign-in; authentication and calendar cleanup may continue in the background. Anonymous monthly lesson totals have no account link. Limited payment and contract evidence, without profile or contact details, is stored separately for five years from the transaction or refund and then deleted. Payment references may still be identifiable through the payment provider and are not described as anonymous. A hashed closure marker is retained for 48 hours after authentication deletion to reject stale requests. External-provider lesson recordings and transcripts are not automatically erased by account closure; contact support for those deletion requests.
1. Controller and privacy contact
NativePT is the controller. Kyle Kim is the privacy contact. Use the business contact information below for access, correction, deletion, objection and account closure requests. We verify identity before disclosing account data.
2. Account data
Depending on the chosen sign-in method, we process email, ID, authentication identifiers, password authentication results, phone number and verification results, or Kakao identifiers and the profile/email fields you authorize. Password authentication is handled by Supabase Auth; we do not store plaintext passwords. Required legal acknowledgements, their version and time, and language preferences are recorded.
3. Lessons, payment and support
We process coach and learner account IDs, booking times, time zones, calendar event IDs, meeting links, lesson status, changes and support correspondence. A coach receives the information needed to conduct the assigned lesson; a verified learner email may receive a calendar invitation. If payments are enabled, we retain order and transaction status, not full card credentials entered at the payment provider.
4. Camera, microphone and learning content
The classroom device check uses your camera or microphone only after you request it. Its preview stays on your device and is stopped when disabled or when you leave. Live call media is handled by Google Meet. This website does not automatically record, upload or transcribe calls. Separately enabled recordings or AI processing require their own disclosure and permissions.
5. Purposes and legal grounds
Data is used to establish and perform the requested service contract, authenticate accounts, schedule lessons, provide support, protect security and comply with legal duties. Consent is obtained where required for optional processing or disclosures. Refusing required account data prevents account-based services; public pages remain available. We do not sell personal information or use lesson content for unrelated model training.
6. Retention and deletion
Account and learning records are retained while the account and requested service remain active, then deleted without undue delay unless another lawful basis applies. Korean statutory records may include contracts, withdrawals, payments and supply records for 5 years; complaints and dispute handling for 3 years; and advertising records for 6 months. Required records are separated and used only for their retention purpose. Electronic records are securely deleted and paper records destroyed.
7. Service providers
Vercel hosts the website and processes requests and operational logs. Supabase provides account authentication and, when connected, the dedicated service database. Google Workspace/Meet provides coach calendars, meeting invitations and video calls. Kakao processes its own account authorization when that method is enabled. A phone or payment provider is disclosed before its service is enabled. We share only data needed for the specified task.
8. International processing
Vercel and Google operate international infrastructure, so web request data and Google service data may be processed outside Korea. The destination, recipient, data, transfer method, purpose and retention details required for a newly connected authentication, SMS, payment or recording service must be disclosed before that transfer begins, with consent or another lawful basis where required. This notice does not authorize unspecified future transfers. Contact support about applicable processing locations and alternatives.
9. Cookies and security
Essential cookies maintain authenticated sessions and protect sign-in flows. Your browser can block or delete cookies, but sign-in may stop working. Local storage may preserve an unfinished phone verification step until it expires. We use HTTPS, restricted backend access and role-based classroom authorization. No advertising tracking consent is bundled with account registration.
10. Rights and complaints
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, withdrawal of consent or account closure, directly or through an authorized representative. We respond under applicable legal timelines and explain any lawful limitation. In Korea, privacy complaints may also be directed to KISA 118 or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, 1833-6972.
11. Children and changes
We do not knowingly register children under 14. Contact us if such information has been submitted so it can be reviewed and removed. Policy revisions show their effective date. A material change in processing is notified in advance and any newly required consent is collected separately.
